Affiliate Marketing Beginners

Internet Marketing for beginners also known as Affiliate Marketing for Beginners is the exclusive topic written typically keeping the beginners in mind, i.e., those who do not know, what is the opportunity, in store for him/her for doing business, when it comes to the Internet.

In the first place, let us deal with the word Affiliate Marketing and see what it has in common to/or how it complies with/to Internet Marketing in general, so here goes.

Affiliates are those people who have their own websites, which have attractive articles and other goodies that generate a lot traffic to the sites, which the  affiliates in turn back link to their clients and vendors like – Amazon, EBay, Costco or Wal-Mart ending up in a purchase made by the customer who might have purchased the product anyway.

But having made the purchase, through the Affiliate’s site, he (the Affiliate) gets a percentage of the sale as commission and thus makes money without any investment beyond generating traffic through his website and becoming some big Company’s Affiliate.

As an Affiliate Marketer, one can do his job from anywhere in the world and need not have to stick any office or localize his business. He need not spend on Sales activities or advertising either (the entire thing is taken care by the Merchant).

The facts about Keywords and the Search Engine Traffic

You should be purchasing only such domain that has less competition and work with Keywords that help you get a good traffic and ranking on Google SERPS. The importance of keywords can’t be over-stated: it’s the heart of what drives search engines, and keywords drive free traffic. Target the right keywords and you will find your published pages rank easier.

Search engines collect the data into their database and can estimate how many people historically search for this term and that term in a given month. So what I’m about to show you is how to use their data and find those “Golden Keyword” that present you with an easier time of ranking well.

You could use the Google Keyword tool – a free tool from Google for getting all the related keywords list  for your chosen root Keyword, to make a list of all Keywords for your site.

  • From the keyword lists you have chosen for your site, pick a primary and a secondary keyword that you’ll want to rank well for with the article.
  • Write the title of the article making sure that you include the primary keyword in the title.
  • Write the description tag using using both the primary and secondary keywords.
  • Write the first paragraph which should be a summary of the overall article and should include both primary and secondary keywords.
  • Map out the structure of the article, writing headings and subheadings that contain keywords.
  • Think about the internal and external links that you might point people to. The linking text should be keyword rich.

The next step to Keyword research and developing Keyword rich content is to build Quality links to the Website. Getting quality links to your site is one of the most productive marketing strategies you can use.Links bring your business multiple benefits that will repay your investment many times over.

Quality links boost your search engine rankings – so that you get more traffic and sales. The higher you appear in search engine results pages, the more traffic you’ll get and the bigger response you’ll get to all your marketing initiatives.

Quality links bring you direct visits to your site – because people click on links to arrive at your site so again you get more traffic and sales. Even better, if they’ve just been reading about you on an external site, they’ll already have a positive impression of what you have to offer.

Quality links establish you as a leader – no matter what market you’re in, there’s an informal community of websites that your potential customers will use. When they regularly see links toyour site, they’ll think of you as a leader in your market.

Quality links attract more quality links – once you’re seen as a leader other sites will want to talk about you, comment on your products and link to you – without you having to ask!

Quality links keep on working – unlike advertising, links usually stay in place and continue to bring you traffic and sales for years into the future.

Quality links connect you with people – if someone has taken the time to link to you, then they’re interested in what you do. That gives you tremendous opportunities for getting to know the people behind the sites that link to you, and building relationships for mutual benefit.

OnPage SEO and OFF Page SEO

Search Engine Optimization: is the process of maximizing a website’s ‘organic’ (non-paid) visits and sales from search engines.

On Page SEO refers to the SEO optimization done locally on the specific page of the Website, whilst the offsite SEO refers to the SEO done offsite at a site other than the original website.

Site Monetization concepts – that is how place advertisements on the Site.

Internet Marketing and Working from Home

Making money on the internet takes a long time to learn, and most people give up because it can be extremely frustrating.

With over 300,000 “Internet Home Business” related searches on the internet every month, it’s safe to say that there is a lot of demand for information on how to make money on the internet. Sadly, this also means that there are a lot of shady characters preying on this group of people.

Internet-Based Business: Ground Rules

Pre-packaged programs only work as much as you can customize it and make it unique and your own. Even then, techniques that work for one niche won’t work in all niches.

Knowing the basics of html, SEO (search engine optimization), social media marketing, website marketing and traditional marketing and sales are a must.

Internet Marketing For Beginners

Making money online. It’s a small phrase, but means so much. Hundreds, if not thousands of people are looking for the secret answer to begin making money online.

Many successful marketers have even taken advantage of this fact and made it abundantly clear to the rest of us that making money online is as easy as selling information on how to make money online.

That’s not what I want to talk about today though. Today I want to talk about internet marketing for beginners, and what is means to actually start this journey.

Like you I was a beginner once, didn’t know anything, and probably spent more money on things than I should have. You can chalk these things up to learning experiences, even though they can get pricey as things go along.

Being new to the world of internet marketing is not a bad thing in and of itself. What it does mean is that one needs to be a little more cautious when it comes to “money making systems” or “thousands of dollars in one day” products. I’ll be the first one to say that making one thousand dollars online is not particuarly hard–but it has taken me many months to realize the potential of that statement.

In Las Vegas they say that you won’t get hired at one of the big resorts if you don’t have “juice”. Juice is essentially knowing somebody on the inside who can put in a good word for you.

I apply this concept to internet marketing in the same fashion, especially when it comes to outsourcing.

If you do not take the steps to learn the internet marketing craft you are going to struggle for a really long time. Because of this, if you are really serious about making a stable income online then you must “juice” yourself into it. This means a lot of reading–and more reading on top of that.

You must realize that there are hundreds of concepts that pertain to internet marketing, and jumping into just one of those concepts with both your feet can be overwhelming fo.

I encourage begeinners to read about concepts like SEO, marketing, social marketing, and blogging to find a topic that interests them. At that point you should begin digging deeper into the things that interest you.

The reason you should do this is because as internet marketing for beginners you will find there might be certain topics and concepts that do not interest you much.

By at least reading about them in a shallow form can allow you to better understand how they affect the overall picture when it comes to marketing strategy.

No matter what concept you want to focus in on, the biggest technique that you must learn is how to do proper keyword research. This is absolutely crucial to your success as an internet market and I cannot stress this enough.

Without proper keyword research you are going to set yourself up for failure before you even get started.

Tomorrow I want to continue this discussion on internet marketing for beginners, simply because there is too much discuss in one post. Where does one start? How do they start? Income Expectations? I will cover these topics and more in tomorrows post.

When is Internet Marketing Worthwhile ?

In general the answer to this question is always but the answer is much more involved. Sure Internet marketing is worthwhile but as with any type of marketing it is only worthwhile if it is done well. For example you can spend thousands of dollars on a television marketing campaign but if no one sees your commercials or your commercials do not reach your target audience and generate sales, the advertising was not worthwhile. So perhaps a more appropriate answer to this question would be that Internet marketing is worthwhile when it works. This is a rather vague statement but this article will investigate the issue further and explain how you can make Internet marketing work for your business.

One of the most basic principles of marketing is to make sure you reach your target audience. This is so important because your target audience is the people who are most likely going to be interested in purchasing your products or services. It is much easier to sell your products or services to those who already have an interest in the products and services you have to offer than it is to convince those who are not interested in your products or services at all. As an example consider a business who sells fishing rods. You will want to market your products to those who enjoy fishing either competitively or as a leisure activity because among this audience you are likely to find people who may be interested in purchasing a new fishing rod. It would make sense to place an advertisement for your business on a website selling bait and tackle or a website which organizes fishing trips in exotic locations. Conversely it would not make sense to place your advertisement on a website selling telescopes because you are not likely to reach a large target audience here. There may be some stargazers with an interest in fishing but your advertising dollars and efforts would be better spent placing advertisements with websites more closely related to your business.

Another factor to consider when purchasing advertising space on another Internet website is traffic the amount of traffic the other website receives. This is significant because you want to place your advertisement on a website which is closely related to your own and likely to attract a similar audience but you also want your advertisement to receive a large amount of attention. For this reason it is important for your advertisement to appear on a website which receives a great amount of traffic each month. This will help to ensure your business is getting a great deal of exposure through this advertising.

When it comes to Internet advertising, there is a fine line between great advertising and spam. Some business owners get carried away trying to get as much exposure as possible and can sometimes go overboard and wind up being considered spam. Internet users who see your advertisement in a couple of key locations will likely notice the advertisement and may be compelled to visit your website immediately or may keep your website in mind for future use. However, Internet users who see your advertisement everywhere they look are likely to view your advertisement as spam. This can be harmful because they are not likely to visit your website because they expect it to not be worthwhile.

In any Internet marketing campaign it is important to carefully monitor the results of your marketing efforts and make changes to your campaign as necessary. This is important because you want to make sure your marketing efforts are paying off and the best way to do this is to evaluate the results of your advertising carefully. One way to do this is to place specially coding in each one of your advertisements so you will know which advertisements are generating business for you and which ones are not. You can use this information to decide whether you should modify the ineffective website or stop running these advertisements. If you decide to modify them you will want to continue to monitor the results to determine whether or not the changes made the advertisements more effective.

How to do Blog Commenting

Commenting is probably the easiest ways to make a mark in the Internet marketing field. On the other hand commenting constitutes to backlinking. Mentioning of the advantages of commenting, I can say it makes you popular. It really does make a huge difference commenting on Blog which is owned by a famous Internet Marketer. Being the first person to comment in a worthy article drives you attention, Which indeed is good.
Before actually getting into doing this it is advisable to install Seo Toolbar for further use. You can install it by following this link http://tools.seobook.com/seo-toolbar/ here you need to register and login with your login details.

After you are logged in, click on “Tools” then you will be displayed with a page like this.

Click on that Seo toolbar and you will be installed with the Seo toolbar.
Now once your browser is installed with the Seo toolbar, you get the page rank information also.
Now let me instruct you on how this is done.
Initially The things We had taken into account were :
• The Page Rank of the Site.
• Whether the site is a Dofollow blog or a Nofollow Blog
• The no. of Domains the site owner owns.
The Page rank of the site:
Page Rank plays a predominant role, while considering the competition it is advisable to opt for beatable page rank. Obviously not very high. We already have gone through the statistics of page rank in the previous article regarding the competition and choice. On the other hand when considering Backlinks,A link from a higher Page Rank site is valuable. Perhaps any link is valuable yet a link from a higher page rank adds value to your blog. The page rank of the particular site will be displayed in Seo toolbar itself. You enter the url, some xyz.com and the page rank will be displayed.

Dofollow/Nofollow:
Most Internet marketers suggest there is no proper difference in getting link from a dofollow or a nofollow blog. But according to some analysis a dofollow link is more valuable than that of a nofollow link. Through the Seotoolbar you can highlight the nofollow blogs. An another way to identify a dofollow blog is to check if there is a commentluv plugin enabled in the blog, If comluv network is enabled it is a dofollow blog. You can also search for blogs in the comluv.com. Here almost all the blogs are dofollow blogs. Commenting in the blogs does turn up with immediate response.

Domains:
The no. of Domains the site owner contains also matters. Let me tell you how to find the no. of domain. Go to domaintools.com , you can either login or use the guest login, the page looks something like this,

Here you enter the Url whose domains you want to find and click search, you will be displayed with results indicating the no. of domains. Make sure of not taking into account the proxy information.

Tips To Comment:
You can create your Gravatar to make the presentation a little more attractive. Make sure your comment is atleast of 40-50 words. In these words you can show gratitude but don’t make attempts to promote your site. Write what you understand in a glance of the site, read a little concept of the article and present what you learnt from it. Don’t be over whelming by praising them a lot. You can even disagree with the writers opinion, and post your comment in a convincing way putting up your point of view. It is always advicable to present yourself ignorant when you have no proper clue over the topic, unlike you know everything. You may not be able to answer if the author reverts. So be careful when you are intending to play with words globally. Be to the point, with proper context which attracts them to your site.
Now, finding the blogs is a hectic job!! It is made easy now. You can use “Fast blog finder” Here you just need to enter the keyword in quotation marks in the search field and click on start tab. It will find the blogs, and you can just get on to comment on those blogs, and when the set of blogs found by the blog finder are over you can change the keyword and again accomplish the task. You can also find the blogs in comluv.com.

Easy way to Bookmarking

Bookmarking is an another way by which you can promote your site. In literal means bookmarking is a way to organize, store and manage. Bookmark is a locally stored uniform resource identifier. In other words bookmarks are called favorites or internet shortcuts. Social bookmarking all the sites is time consuming and it is tedious to download the toolbars in each case concerned with that particular site, hence there is a simpler way projected to bookmarking, here presenting you social bookmarking , where you have choices to present on whether to use all the social bookmarking sites ,the news sites, the sites which are do follow or the best sites in bookmarking and so on. It helps you promote your site in a more broader and extinguished form.
The ultimate goal is always to make your site reach the top ranking in the first page of Google, when your keywords are searched for in the search engines. A better way sorted to promote a website is through the socialmarker.com. Let me explain you on how to use it. Here is a snapshot of the social marker site.

As you can see in the page where it is indicated with an arrow, you find that you can choose the sites according to your wish. You can use the check boxes to select the sites you need to submit your site to.
All you need to do, is enter the bookmark details in the text provided for it and click “submit”. The next page would flash you with the site, and you can see the status bar processing with the sites. Now you click on the tab indicating “register” in the page if you are not having an account already else you can directly go to “submit” enter the relevant details concerning your site and submit. Relevant details imply ,where you need to fill the details of the site you want to promote, like the tags , the title and the description of the text. Just be a little smart when you choose the text for the description of the site , such that it is effective enough.. now click on “submit” and you can see indications stating that your url is added to the site. Now click on the tab “next” now you will be displayed with a page with new site Each time you sign in to the due site it will prompt you for , if it can remember your “username and password”, then click on “remember”. It will then store your address such that you don’t need to sign in each time when you want to promote a particular site. The next thing you do after submitting is to click on the “next” tab. Then there appears a new site where you need to again register if you don’t have an account in that site , and then you can fill the details like tags, description, title etc kind of details about your site. The process repeats till you are done with all the marked sites.
( note: create the accounts in the sites you intend to add your url (uniform resource locator) and then submit with the details. When the browser prompts to remember your username and password, select “Remember” then you need not login each time you want to add your new url’s)
You can create virtual characters to operate this , create a virtual character by name and email id and use it while creating accounts in the various bookmarking sites available. Use the same name for username and the email id when asked, of course the password can be of your choice.

Get started with Link building

Link building plays a crucial role in search engine optimization for Internet Marketing. Links are of great importance in terms of driving traffic to your site. The concept strictly wheels over independent and unique sites, possibly with a high page rank and degree of authority which links back to your site would ultimately increase the traffic. The link here justifies the term “wheeling” as there would be links which connect internally to similar sites and a link to your main site would also be in the post.
This is a little vital one and a little confusing as well. Let me make you understand it in detail. There is something called web2.0 sites, these sites are independent and unique sites. These sites include , social networking sites, blogs, wikis, video sharing sites, hosted services, web applications, mashups and folksonomies. Now, we choose a few sites like this and post our keyword based article in it by leaving 2 links in the article, one which links to our main site, and the other link would be directing to our article written in another such site. The same is the case with that article.
The article must be written , as such answering the question running in the readers mind, and also your link to another article in another site is expected to answer a few more questions, the reader might have. Possibly it must be written as to increase the curiosity of the reader to learn more on the destined topic.
Let me list you a few of the sites where you can post such content , as such you can put in links to your main site and also to another article with some kind of relation with that article.
Squidoo is one such place where you can post your content. You can go to the squidoo page by following this link to sqiudoo.

Here is a screenshot of the squidoo page, you can signup with squidoo and create your lens in your squidoo dashboard. Posts in terms of squidoo are called as lens.

Hubpages is another place where you can create such posts, giving information or say sharing information on any topic using videos, pictures or write-ups or anything. You can signup with hubpages by following this link to Hubpages

The above is the screenshot of hubpages , you can signup with hubpages by following the promptings and providing the details it needs. In hubpages, the posts are called as Hubs.

Another such web2.0 site is blogger, here you need to have a Gmail account in order to operate. Here is a link directed to blogger.

The above is a screenshot of blogger.com, signing up with bloggers is easy with your Google account. Here the posts are called as blogs.

Another web2.0 site is wordpress where you can post the content with the images, or videos for better understanding. Here you can add posts according to the topic you choose. You can follow this link to wordpress

There are more such similar sites where you can post the content. Signup with the above mentioned sites and post the content in each linking to your site and the next article. This a most effective form of link building. Let me show you the diagramatic representation of link wheeling.

The above represents the link wheeling, this is how you link your site to these sites and the sites internally to each other.
